This morning is 30F cooler than yesterday’s 77F and falling. Temps are going to fall all day. Combined with the rain it is feeling like fall again 🍁

I have a number of Aqara devices for home automation but this week all of the sensors (motion, doors) stopped working. Seemed to be the hub so this morning I switched to a newer M2 hub. Tedious process but everything is working now. #homeautomation #homekit

Mastodon question: Is there a way to avoid seeing boosted toots that I’ve already seen (because I follow the original)? Kind of annoying seeing duplicates, triplicates and so forth.

Ground is more heavily covered in leaves this morning. Tomorrow’s low will be 40F less than today’s high with a storm expected so I expect a substantial increase soon. It’s fun kicking through them.

Turns out my M0 MCU weather display was failing due to a SSL cert issue. Sorted that and now the time keeping code doesn't work even though unchanged. The joys of maintain these tiny projects where a re-compile can break things. #iot

⌚️Apple Watch is officially ordered. Just went with the SE but I’m excited to start running with just a watch and headphones

I enjoy making useful gadgets around the house. But this week the M0 MCU + LCD display I built for our bedroom closet stopped working. Super handy because it shows us current WX conditions and forecast while we get dressed. With a touch it even gives the full text forecast. It’s been more than 3 years so first up is to re-learn the code and be sure it still builds and loads. #iot

I am glad election day is finally here. For weeks I’ve been bombarded by political spam text messages and phone calls - all from a state I haven’t lived in for 15+ years. Hopefully there will be a lull until the “big one” in 2024.
