🥊 Wrestling with python🐍🤼‍♀️

I explored Jekyll and set up a test environment using GitHub pages. Took awhile because I made the mistake of looking at Github’s way too complicated instructions. Tinkered with a few scripts to pull my social posts automatically. I’m not sure what my destination is yet. It’s a journey.🚢

Github pages wrangling done. Now to do something more enjoyable.

Finally set up GitHub auth to use 1Password👍🏻

Now on to GitHub Pages…

I think I’ve found the love of my life. Her name is Mona. 😜

Mona is a seriously good Mastodon app that “gets me”. I would recommend giving it a try as I find Mona markedly better than some of the apps that seem to be darlings lately. Tons of capability and customization.
@MonaApp

I installed PrusaSlicer 2.6 yesterday and enabled Organic (aka tree) supports. The supports are really lovely in structure. And as advertised are very effective and trivial to remove. I printed this yesterday using the default supports and getting them off was a real pain.

The is for a Samsung T5 and enables me to hang it off the back of my iMac.

🙉 Just saw an old fashion flame fest break out on my Mastodon feed. Don’t miss those. Happy to be able to mute them.

It has been a good week for app discovery. First @cheribaker pointed me to kagi.com for search and then I snuck into the @MonaApp beta on Test Flight I am loving them both. My world is just that much more at peace.

♨️ TFW you send a print job encoded for PETG but have PLA filament loaded.

I randomly tried the Mona iOS beta test link this morning and I’m shocked - it let me in. First impression is very positive. Could this be the one?

😥 Woke up at 4am

💩 Well today Micro.blog decided my site should be “Not Found”. The fun continues.

Contemplating search engines. DuckDuckGo has been my tool for years but it seems to fail to return good results more and more often resulting in my increasing use of “!g”. Which of course I want to avoid which is the reason I have used DDG. What good alternatives are there that easily fit into a workflow?

I’ve tried several Mastodon clients lately. Not in love with any yet. One downside of sampling them is I’ve lost quite a bit of my timeline because it isn’t sync’d across them.🤷‍♂️

👷‍♂️ Cranking out some gridfinity bins for our bathroom drawers

Oh yeah the app is also missing a share sheet. So Mastoot lives on in my workflow to share photos and receive notifications.

I’m really liking the Mastodon app so far. Hoping for quick fixes to the lack of all notifications and the fact nearly all images are hidden for no reason and I have to click an arrow to see them.

I’m really happy with the way this Pi Pico case turned out using Prussament Clear PETG. I wasn’t sure I had much use for clear but this has changed my mind.

🤔 Trying out the Tusker app for Mastodon. I like it so far. Just need to solve the lack of notifications.

Giving the Tusker app for Mastodon a try. It promises to sync the timeline across devices…

🐶 Winding down into the weekend

The Clear PETG filament I ordered arrived today. Now I need to think of something to use it for. 🤔
