The number 1 reason I have kicked aside a number of the Mastodon apps is they donโ€™t sync/remember my place in the timeline. I want to always have my timeline where I left it and I want it to sync across devices/apps.

๐ŸŽ† Good times, I can now use the app store version of status.log!

I printed this Raspberry Pi 4 case that mounts directly to the frame of my Prusa MK3S+. The case was really well designed and mounted to existing M3 holes in the frame perfectly. Printed using Hatchbox PETG. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿฅ˜ Checking our food supply due to multiple days of icy roads

These days of sleet have placed me in danger - danger of ODing on espresso. โ˜•๏ธ

Sleet and rain started yesterday and school is canceled today. The ice continued falling overnight and is expected to do so on and off throughout Wednesday so Iโ€™m sure school will be canceled for at least one more day. Weโ€™re all wondering if our daughterโ€™s shift this morning will be canceled. ๐Ÿค”

Long overdue print of tool storage for my 3D printer area. Saves space and aggravation.

I have a series of storage bins planned but Iโ€™m waiting on a E3D 0.6mm nozzle to arrive (will save a lot of time).

๐Ÿฅถ Temperature is in the mid 20F this morning and likely to stay that way. Too damn cold.

Iโ€™m contemplating what to do with my first 3D printer. Donโ€™t have the space to keep it around, nor the inclination to try to keep it functioning properly. It wouldnโ€™t be worth enough to ship it anywhere.

Today I discovered the OctoPod app (iOS, tvOS) for use with . Excellent way to monitor 3D prints. The tvOS app is surprisingly useful. Easy to see the camera and can leave it on while I work yet quickly see if the print has gone awry. Also it has some good built in notifications.

The articulated shark turned out well, shown here attacking an octopus ๐Ÿ™ My Prusa MK3S+ kit is cranking out all kinds of prints without a care in the world.

๐Ÿ˜ƒ This PRUSA 3D printer is a dream. Proud I built it successfully.

All Gummies have been consumed!

Prusa kit builders know what this means. I finished building my MK3S+ kit and it passed the self test right away. Here is the obligatory first logo print. The build was a challenge but a fair one. Iโ€™m so happy with my decision to switch. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

๐Ÿค” Planning to finish my 3D printer today and hopefully get it calibrated

I had thought I might finish putting the printer together today but ended up well short. I ran out of gas and decided to call a halt until tomorrow. Weekend build here I come!

๐Ÿฆพ Got our daughterโ€™s old computer desk loaded into my Outback ready to drop it off at Salvation Army

Started assembling my 3D printer this evening. Hoping I have time to finish it tomorrow but probably wonโ€™t have time to do calibration.

๐Ÿ˜ƒ Anxiously awaiting delivery of my new 3D printer

With all the hype I gave the Ivory app a try. But as they said it still needs work. Back to the more capable apps which are, IMO, equally worthy of attention

@ivory Does the app not honor server side filters? The app shows I have no filters but I have quite a few.

๐Ÿฅฑ Watching gentle rain on a cold morning and feeling lazier (than usual)

That kind of day: ground the coffee beans, put a filter in, fired things up andโ€ฆ nothing but hot water was the result.

Missed that crucial step of actually putting the grounds in the filter. ๐Ÿ˜ข

๐Ÿ“ช Starting to learn PrusaSlicer for my incoming MK3S+

I enabled Stage Manager on my iMac a couple of weeks ago and weโ€™re getting along pretty well. I use it in conjunction with two virtual desktops. I think it could be a lot better but it is good enough to leave enabled.
