I sure hope the new model supports legacy bands. I love my current leather band and would hate to have to ditch it.

This make me sad. Paper was a pioneer and still a great app.

Both of our home computers (MBP & iMac) are more than 5 years old. Normally I’d have replaced them by now but the reality is even with 2 kids we use them less and less due to iPad and iPhone advances. Teenager often does her homework on her iPhone of all things.

Lately I see a lot of posts regarding a downward inflection for Twitter - that it has lost its way. Some folks online seem rather emotional about it. What’s interesting to me is virtually no one I know IRL cares about Twitter. Really wonder how much of the general public does.

Looks like Icro was eating my posts yesterday so back to the MB app.

Apologies for being a day late but my Micro Monday is @Burk who actively supports the MB community, has an interesting timeline, and is an all around great guy.

I find myself out of touch the past few days. I see many posts re: angst, trauma, drama posted about Twitter’s changes (some say looming demise). Yet no one I know IRL is even mentioning it - it’s a non-event. Many, especially younger folk, think Twitter is seriously uncool.

My Micro Monday is @burk - a great guy, a micro blogging supporter, and poster of interesting tidbits.

Today’s the first day of school for the kiddos so back to my morning routine of stopping by the local indie coffee shop. Our daughter starts high school this year and she is super nervous (she’s very shy, and short) 📷 ☕️

Hand rolls and beer to start 🍣 🍺

I’m wondering if anyone has used the Sonos Beam soundbar with Siri and Airplay and how well the integration works. I haven’t turned up much info, other than PR type stuff, in my searches.

I’m really enjoying this podcast. If you have any interest in history you might like it as well.

Stuff You Missed in History Class

It’s the last week of summer break for the kids so we have a series of fun activities planned. Starting today with a trip to Dave & Busters (arcade). Our very shy daughter is quite nervous about starting high school.

I wonder what well-known sites benefit from Apple’s affiliate program for links to apps? I don’t really use web sites for app discovery. Partly because in the past when I came across some I decided I didnt’ trust them. Hard to know what payments they get.

We’re going to throw paint on canvases 🎨 📷

With the kids out for the summer I often don’t get out of the house early enough to feel like hitting the coffee shop. (Think 100F heat). Rather looking forward to getting in the old routines.

I received No Man’s Sky at Christmas & gave it a try shortly afterwards. Kept hitting my head against a wall constantly so gave up & shelved it. They released v1.5 with a ton of changes and I’m giving it a second chance. So far I’m really impressed with their commitment.

Sunrise is the best time to hike when it is this hot.

Shh, don’t tell the kids. But I’m rather looking forward to their return to school in a couple of weeks.

And yes, I’m a morning person✅

First day of Hogwarts camp. Waiting at platform 9 ¾.

My initial App Store downloads. I have a couple of pages for this date.

The 1Password folks are denying acquisition talks with Apple are under way. I hope they stay independent. @vishae

I downloaded the Signal app on my iPhone. Not sure what I’m going to do with it though!

States visited so far on this summer’s road trips 🗺: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Woke up to thunder this morning. A good excuse to grab a coffe and enjoy the storm out the window. 📷

I’m trying to be a responsible adult. But this is the only place I allow myself a pina colada🍹 . The chiclets are enjoying their age-appropriate strawberry daiquiris - the best anywhere we have ever been. We tried making them using the same mix at home. Just isn’t the same!
